IT company 3Pillar Global, present in Romania since 2009, will open its third development center in Romania in Iasi. The company will also hire 50 staff for its new office, to be hosted by Moldova Business Center, an A class building located in the central part of the city.
The new development center will open beginning August, and by the end of the year 3Pillar Global plans to hire 50 new engineers and IT specialists, that will add up to the 450 staff in Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara.
The company wants to attract experts with at least 2 years experience and good Java, Phyton, Ruby on Rails, Front End skills, mobile technologies (iOS and Android) and testing.
“We chose Moldova Center for the facilities that it can provide to our employees, but also for the later expansion possibilities. Following the example of centers in Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara. We are expecting that the Iasi office will grow exponentially in the upcoming years. The excellent location and easy access in several areas of the city also weighed substantially. Not least, it is one of the first office buildings that adopted the newest technologies in the area of ergonomics and sustainability, with a BREEAM Very Good certification,” 3Pillar Global CEO David DeWolf, said.
The US company announced last year its plans to expand operations in Romania and the region. Iasi was chosen by the company’s management, which took into account the following factors: the presence of an university center and of a large number of graduates with IT education, their level of preparation and their availability on the labour market, operation expansion possibilities and city infrastructure.
