Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company Enters Romania with Offices in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca

Leading U.S. life insurer Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) today announced the opening of two MassMutual Global Business Service Center locations in Romania, located in Orhideea Towers in Bucharest and Record Park in Cluj-Napoca. Both sites are positioned in areas designed to attract local tech talent, adding to continued technology hiring by the company in the U.S.

MassMutual was founded in 1851 with a single purpose: to help people secure their future and protect the ones they love. For nearly 170 years, the mutual life insurance company has operated for the benefit of its members and participating policyowners, offering consumers a wide range of financial products and services. MassMutual’s digital evolution is already underway with a focus on meeting its current and future customers’ needs. It chose Romania following a market analysis indicating the country’s strong hiring pool and position as a rising technology hub.

MassMutual Romania is hiring for 250 in-house roles, primarily in the areas of software development, data science and engineering, DevOps, SecurityOps, and cloud engineering. Both Romanian offices are MassMutual operated, and hiring will supplement the company’s existing, U.S.-based team that continues to grow.

The Bucharest office on the top floor of Orhideea Towers is a 1,300 sqm space designed with innovation and sustainability in mind, developed by CA IMMO in Bucharest and assisted by real estate consultancy company Griffes. It offers a panoramic view over the city and prime placement in the new Centre-West business area, across the street from Grozavesti metro station and close to the Polytechnic University campus. Opening in February, the Cluj-Napoca office has positions currently available. Developed by Speedwell, it sits in Record Park within proximity to the city center,
