Radu Jude’s latest feature film, ‘I do not care if we go down in history as barbarians,’ will have its world premiere on July 2 at the International Film Festival Karlovy Vary·

The film entered the official selection of the Karlovy Vary festival, which will be held between 29 June – 7 July. The screening will be hosted by the Grand Hall in Karlovy Vary. The premiere will be attended by director Radu Jude, actors Ioana Iacob, Alexandru Dabija, Alex Bogdan and Ilinca Manolache, as well as producer Ada Solomon.

“I do not care if we go down in history as barbarians – these words, spoken in the Council of Ministers of the summer of 1941, started the ethnic cleansing on the Eastern Front. The film attempts to comment on this statement,” reads the plot synopsis on IMDB.

The film will also screen on July 3 at Pupp Cinema, and on July 5 at Drahomira Cinema.

Romanians will be able to see it in September. The film will have its local premiere on 28 September.
