If it’s burned out, bring it to the museum! On the International Day of Electrical Waste, celebrated on October 14th, the Recolamp Association offers you free access to Museum of Recent Art, if you bring two light bulbs!

Recycling waste from lighting equipment has been the Recolamp mission for 13 years. Between October 14th and 18th, this healthy habit for us and for the environment is rewarded with free acces in Museum of Recent Art! Visitors will be able to leave the light bulbs in one of the two ColțVerde collection areas, specially placed in the museum.

The process of collecting waste from lighting equipment has been slowed down in the context of the global pandemic, mainly due to limited access to collection points, but also due to the attitude of people who have faced the start of a new era, with new worries and concerns. To support responsible behavior and contribute to a greener and healthier future, Recolamp has developed with its partners a series of activities that generate added value and encourage people to recycle. Thus, we mark the International Day of Electrical Waste with an action in partnership with the Museum of Recent Art: together, we transform the burned bulbs into access to art. Between October 14th and 18th, with only 2 light bulbs, you have access to 150 works of art and you bring your contribution to the environment. Will we meet you at the museum?” Said Anca Lupusavei, marketing director of Recolamp.

Recycling waste from lighting equipment must become a habit for all of us. Those who want to continue this process on any day, not only on the International Day of Electrical Waste, can download the ColțVerde app, where they will find the map of collection points with the nearest shopping centers, retail, electrical stores or DIY stores where they can bring the light bulbs for recycling. Protection, safety and hygiene measures are rigorous at all open collection points.

The app can be downloaded from App Store and Google Play.

At national level, the Recolamp Association has developed over the years over 2,500 selective collection points for home users.
