Vodafone Romania’s customer base up, revenues slightly down over the past 6 months

Vodafone Romania had 8,182,923 customers, at September 30, 2013, which is a growth of 308,703 customers compared to same period last year, according to key performance indicators reported by Vodafone Group.

Service revenue reached EUR 352.9 million for the 6 months ended September 30, 2013, which is 3.6 percent lower as compared to same period last year, as an organic variance.

If excluding the effect of the mobile termination rate cut- effective September 1st, 2012- service revenue increased by 0.9 percent, year on year, for the 6 months ended September 30, 2013, organic variance, according to the company’s financial statement.

Mobile data revenues grew by 31.9 percent in the quarter ending September 30, 2013, as compared to same period of the last financial year.

Vodafone Romania’s Mobile ARPU (average revenue per user) reached EUR 6.5 over the last 6 months corresponding to an 8.6 percent decrease year on year.

Postpaid subscribers accounted for 40.3 percent and prepaid for 59.7 percent of Vodafone Romania’s mobile subscriber base as of September 30, 2013. The prepaid users in the base increased by 1.8 percentage points as compared to same period, last year.
