Telecom operator Vodafone Romania, with 8.5 million customers at June 30th, 2014, has launched Supernet, an innovation in mobile data services, which allows higher speeds, network stability and security in the network for customers of the company.

“Supernet best represents the power of our reconfigured network. It is not a new product or a new price plan, but our most recent implementation, meant to offer our customers a remarkable experience in using smartphones. It is our way of making our customers’ smartphones more intelligent terminals, without any additional costs,” according to Ravinder Takkar, president and CEO of Vodafone Romania.

Supernet offers higher speeds to all the company’s clients while also making the internet connection more stable, and allowing for optimized streaming and browsing. Supernet also includes a security solution in the network, which ensures protection for both residential and business Vodafone customers.

Thus, one of the main pillars of Supernet is UltraSpeed, which uses a Vodafone exclusive technology and architecture for ensuring a high-speed broadband experience.

All Vodafone customers will benefit from substantially higher speeds when surfing the internet from their smartphone. Thus, the 3G speeds will grow up to 43.2 Mbps while users of 4G services benefit from download speeds of up to 300 Mbps.

Another component of the Supernet, the XStream technology, allows full video experience based on the stability of the internet connection for browsing, file download and streaming.  XStream works via an exclusive Vodafone optimization algorithm as well as an All-IP network of Vodafone, which ensures superior streaming communication.

The security component is ensured by MaxProtect, which offers antivirus,  anti-phishing and antimalware protection to customers when surfing in the Vodafone network from any terminal, whether it is smartphone, tablet or PC .

MaxProtect is available free of charge for all RED postpay clients, while for the other subscribers, the service is free of charge for six months.

The Supernet communication launch is taking place in print, TV, radio, online and outdoor. The campaign has as protagonists the members of a usual family which discovers in turns the benefits of Supernet. More information for teh new communication campaign are available on the company’s website.
