UTI Grup has won an open tender organized by the Bucharest City Hall for the technical maintenance of the equipment and systems on the National Arena, the largest stadium in Romania for the next four years, according to a press release posted on the company’s official website.
UTI Grup is owned by businessman Tiberiu Urdareanu and posted a turnover of more than EUR 140 million last year.
At the beginning of July, UTI Group became provider of technical services, maintenance and management for Bucharest’s National Arena in Bucharest, which has 55,000 seats and covers 108,000 square meters.
The contract was attributed via open tender by the Bucharest City Hall, the owner of the National Arena, for a four-year period, and an estimated value of RON 34 million (EUR 7.6 million).
The contract stipulates the acquisition, installation and set up of installations for maintaining the quality of the lawn and the game surface.
Between 2009 and 2011, UTI delegated a team for setting up the installations and technical systems as technical entrepreneur. Since the launch until the present, the team has ensured continuous technical assistance.
