Toneli Holding, local egg producer, has invested EUR 700,000 in a chicken farm at Gaesti, Dambovita county, company representatives announce. This investment increased the farm’s capacity to 18,850 egg-laying hens, producing about 14,800 eggs a day and around 444,000 eggs per month.

“The investment made by the Toneli group was directed to the establishment of a hen farm in free range system, within the site at Avicola Gaesti, with a land area of 80,000 square meters and two production halls of 1,200 square meters each,” said Andreea Constantinescu, marketing manager at Toneli Holding.

The eggs fall in quality class 1 (of four quality classes corresponding table eggs), which ensures the consumer that the laying hens are kept in the system free range – the ground with outdoor access and fed with grain carefully selected, the company states.
