For the third year running, the InnerSound International New Arts Festival grabbed the attention of Bucharest’s cultural life with the effervescence of the international contemporary artistic stage.

Between September 17-20, the most talented young Romanian composers, instrumentalists, directors, photographers and visual artists offered modern art lovers a string of events, which are impossible to forget. The event will take place in several locations, such as ArCuB, The National Music University, InSpayer, Modulab and the National Dance Center.

InnerSound 2014 opens with one of the most renowned string quartets of the moment. ConTempo was founded in 1995 and has been a resident ensemble in Galway, Ireland for over a decade. Since 2014 it has become the state quartet of RTÉ, Ireland’s National Public Service Broadcaster.

Part of the program is also Silent Film Night, a unique project in Romania that joins the vision of directors and visual artists with chamber music written especially for the festival. SonoMania Ensemble and conductor Gabriel Bebeşelea will be in charge of this silent film night.

Furthermore, this year’s programe will present the public three participants of the George Enescu International Contest: composer Dan Dediu, composer and artistic director of Innersound festival Diana Rotaru and violinist and composer Vlad Maistorovici.

Tickets cost RON 15 for a day pass. The full program of this event can be seen here.
