Romania’s legal holidays in 2015

Romania will have a total of 13 days assigned as legal holidays in 2015, but only eight of them will be week days, the others falling during the weekend.

Romania’s public holidays next year:

January 1 / 2 – New Year’s
January 24th – Union of Romanian Principalities
Aprile 12/13 – Easter
May 1 – Labor Day
May 31 / June 1 – Whitsuntide (Rusalii)
August 15 – Assumption of Mary
November 30 – St. Andrew
December 1 – National Day
December 25/26 – Christmas

Out of the 13 non-working days above, five fall during the weekend: January 24 will fall on a Saturday next year, as well as August 15 and the second day of Christmas. The first day of Easter and Rusalli are traditionally celebrated on a Sunday.
