Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) will organize over May 27-29, under the aegis of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, the Romanian Space Week annual conference to be attended by scientists, engineers, technical staff, political decision makers, suppliers and users of space technology and applications.

ROSA reports in a press release quoted by Agerpres that the conference rounds up the efforts to promote and develop space activities in Romania and will comprise events aimed at bringing together the main space sector players.

The main event of the week will be the public unveiling of the latest developments in the C1-2012 and C2-2013 competitions of the STAR National Programme for Space Technology and Advanced Research, which aims to increase competitiveness of research and development entities in Romania for their successful participation in European Space Agency (ESA) programmes.

At the same time, the participants will be able to deliver technical speeches and take part in one-on-one meetings to exchange ideas and opinions concerning future projects and contributions.

The conference’s venue is the Conference Hall of the Elie Carafoli National Air and Space Research and Development Institute.
