Romanian soldier dies in military exercise in Germany

A Romanian soldier died and four others were wounded in an accident that took place on Friday, during the multinational military exercise “Saber Junction 14”, hosted by the Instruction Center in Hohenfels, Germany.

During a tactical exercise, the HMMWV vehicle turned over while performing a turn on a secondary road.

Adrian Constantin Leu passed away a short while after the accident, although he received medical care on the spot. The wounded were hospitalized in different medical units in proximity.

Adrian-Constantin Leu had been in the Ministyr of National Defense’s employment since 2001 and had thought overseas three times in Irak and Afghanistan.
