The Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) in New York will host a piano recital, on Friday, September 5, featuring the young Romanian pianist Ana Antonia Tudose. She will perform a program of music by international and Romanian composers: M. Jora – “Jouxjoux pour Madame”; W.A. Mozart – Sonata no. 7 in C major; Schumann-Paganini – Etude op. 3; P. Constantinescu – “Dobrogean Dance – Toccata”; M. Negrea – “Three Romanian Dances” and “Alunelul”; Carl Filtsch “Barcarola”; Fr. Chopin – Nocturne No. 20 in C-sharp minor, Op. posth, and Polonaise in G-sharp minor, Op.posth.
Ana Antonia Tudose is 13 years old and studies at Carmen Sylva Art High School, but she won several top piano competition prizes, and she performed in many piano recitals. In December 2013, Antonia made her debut performing with Ploiesti Philharmonic Orchestra the Concert no. 8 KV 246 by W.A. Mozart, under the baton of Ovidiu Balan.
