Director Cristina Grosan participated and won the Sarajevo City of Film, which is a project that, in its sixth year, continues to discover and promote authors of the “young” regional film scene who are restricted by budget and equipment to make a complete movie during the festival. Once again this year, the teams gathered around film productions comprised directors, actors, producers and scriptwriters – participants in the last two editions of the Sarajevo Talent Campus.
In the spring this year, participants in selected projects faced numerous challenges: three filming days per film, same equipment and budget on their disposal, a foreign crew and a relatively foreign city. They responded to these challenges with courage and creativity of their three short films: MORNING PRAYERS, Holiday at the Seaside and MY!MY!MY!MY LITTLE ROOM! Authors Katarina Stanković and Konstantina Kotzamani, Cristina Grosan and Barbara Vekarić have proven that they can function within a set framework, overcome possible language barrier and complete films by deadline despite working with international film crews comprising participants from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Greece, Croatia, Hungary and Serbia.
Amalia, a girl of thirteen, gets her first period one day before leaving for the seaside with her parents. Having an over-caring but distant mother, she decides to take care of the “issue” by herself. Little does she know that soon, this will be the smallest problem she has.
