Romanian bookies favor Ponta for presidency. You could get rich with a bet on Kelemen Hunor

In what constitutes a premiere for the country, Romanians can bet on the results of the 2014 presidential elections, writes DCnews. Bookmakers have multiple offers for gambling Romanians, who can bet on who will be the next president, how many votes will they get and who will make it to the second round of the elections.

The first candidate quotas were announced at the start of october, but much like the stock market, the views on the different candidates’ odds of winning have fluctuated dramatically.

Here are the latest candidate quotas for Cotroceni, with Teodor Melescanu surprisingly absent:
Victor Ponta – 1.40
Klaus Johannis – 4.00
Elena Udrea – 20.00
Călin Popescu Tăriceanu – 20.00
Dan Diaconescu – 50.00
Monica Macovei – 100.00
Corneliu Vadim Tudor – 700.00
Gheorghe Funar – 900.00
William Brânză – 900.00
Mirel Mircea Amariţei – 900.00
Kelemen Hunor – 999.00

“The fabled 14″: Meet the presidential candidates

Romanians can also lay a bet on whether Victor Ponta will achieve more than 38.5 percent of the vote in the first round and whether Klaus Iohannis will be able to gather more than 28.5 percent of the votes or not. Every option for the offer carries an odd of 1.85.

The offer also includes betting on which candidates will make it to the second round of elections on November 2. Here are the numbers:
