The government has begun the procedures necessary for the creation of a national brand to promote Romanian food products both locally and abroad, said agriculture minister Daniel Constantin this  Tuesday according to Mediafax.

“We want to create a partnership with producers and a campaign to promote Romanian products both in Romania and abroad,” said Constantin.

The brand will focus on promoting the authenticity of Romanian food products and will be presented during international fairs, added the minister.

The financial resources necessary to implement this project should not be substantial and the money could come from the budget of the Ministry for Agriculture and Rural Development, added Constantin. The project is estimated to be implemented in about a month.
