Publicis Groupe and Centrade Saatchi&Saatchi announced that the Saatchi&Saatchi brand would be consolidated in Romania under one legal entity, Lion Communication SA, the majority shareholder of which is Publicis Groupe. The transfer is effective starting January 1st 2015.
Lion Communication will include the group’s three brands: Publicis, Leo Burnett and Saatchi&Saatchi.
After the transfer, the agency and team run by Radu Florescu will continue to work as an independent entity, keeping its portfolio of clients.
The move is part of Publicis Group’s global strategy to consolidate its brands under one legal entity, majority owned by Publicis and to ensure integration and regional cooperation in the markets where it is active.
“We had a very good relationship with Centrade Saatchi& Saatchi and with Radu Florescu. Our decision in no way reflects any dissatisfaction with the performance of the agency, which managed a wide range of clients and carried the Saatchi& Saatchi name admirably. The Publicis Group will continue the partnership with the Florescu brothers in the case of Zenith Media,” said Justin Billingsley, COO of Saatchi & Saatchi EMEA.
“Regarding our group’s operations, nothing will change neither for the clients, nor for the employees. We are confident that our agency will continue to grow. We are currently 70 well trained people and we expect our team to be available for our clients in 2015 also,” said Radu Florescu, CEO Centrade Saatchi & Saatchi.
