Petrom opens EUR 26 mln fuel terminal in Isalnita

Romanian oil and gas producer Petrom, controlled by Austrian OMV,  inaugurated last week its third greenfield fuel terminal in Isalnita, Dolj County, which will ensure the supply in part of Southern Romania, following a EUR 26 million investment.

Petrom has invested EUR 87 million for building the oil terminals in Jilava, Brazi and Isalnita, which have a total storage capacity of 46,000 cubic meters. The Isalnita terminal is the second largest with a capacity of 11,000 cubic meters.

“This is our third greenfield fuel terminal finalized in the last three years. With a modern terminal network we will be more efficient and will continue to supply to Petrom’s customers products in accordance with the European standards for this activity,” said Neil Anthony Morgan, member of Petrom Executive Board, responsible for Refining and Marketing.

The construction project for the Isalnita terminal involved more than 600 workers, hired by contractors and suppliers.
