Penny Market Romania has a new CEO

Rewe Romania has appointed Christian Beck CEO of the retail discount chains Penny Market and XXL Mega Discount. He previously worked at Auchan Hungary as customer relationship manager, a position he held until the end of 2012. Before that he worked for about 12 years at Cora. His last position there was marketing and acquisitions director for the Hungarian subsidiary.

Beck is replacing Guenter Becker who was responsible for the Penny retail brand in Romania as well as other three European countries.

Rewe runs a network of 137 Penny Market stores and 7 XXL Mega Discount units on the local market.
