ORTEC Central and Eastern Europe has reported in Q1 2015 a 35 increase against the same quarter last year, the company says.

The regional headquarters of the Dutch IT company ORTEC operates on the Romanian market since 2008.

Herman Wierenga, CEO of ORTEC CEE, attributes this growth largely to the company’s successful response to the demand for tailor-made optimization solutions, both in Romania and the rest of the region. “In the last year, we have generated business by consolidating our portfolio of existing customers, and also by increasing our customer base by 20 percent in Romania, as well as in other countries in the region especially Turkey, Poland, Croatia and Russia. We expect to end 2015 with close to EUR 5 million revenues and 100 employees. In the very specialized market of advanced planning software in which we are active, those are big numbers,” stated Wierenga in a release.

According to ORTEC, the company has become a magnet for students at Romania’s best universities.

ORTEC has also announced that it will hire at least 25 new employees in 2015 especially in software development and consultancy. Besides the new positions, ORTEC will also continue to develop its own internship program, aimed especially at 2nd and 3rd year students of faculties such as Cybernetics, Informatics or Automatics and Computers, that was started last year and is further extended in 2015.

The company, which is one of the largest providers of advanced planning and optimization software solutions and consulting services, has over 1,800 customers worldwide, 750 employees and offices in Europe, North America, South America and the Pacific Region.
