Orange Romania’s 3rd quarter revenues see slight y-o-y growth

Telecom operator Orange Romania posted revenues of EUR 241 million in the third quarter of the year, up 3.2 percent y-o-y.

Since the start of the year, the company’s revenues totaled EUR 690 million, up 0.7 percent compared to the similar period of 2012.

At September 30, 2013, Orange Romania had 10,383,481 customers, having acquired 183,000 more from the previous three months.

Mobile internet traffic in the company’s network grew by 85 percent compared to the similar period of last year.

Sales of smartphones in the operator’s stores also increased by 101 percent in the third quarter of this year compared to the third quarter of 2012. 62 percent of the customers who use the Orange TV Go service watch the TV live channels provided by the operator on their smartphone.
