Number of new homes up by 7.65 pct in Romania in Q1

A total of 8,270 new housing units were delivered in Romania in the first quarter of this year, up by 588 units compared to the same period last year, according to data released today by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

More than half of the 8,270 new housing units (51  percent) were delivered in urban areas.

Broken down into regions, the statistics show an increase in the North-West (+795 new housing units), Bucharest– Ilfov (+588), West (+113) and South-West Oltenia (+79) and drops in South – East (-499), North– East (-206), Southern Muntenia (-202) and Center (-80).
