Seamless Romania and the company that operates the La Mama / Cafepedia chains will introduce mobile payments through SEQR. The first restaurant where clients will have the option of using their smartphone to pay for the check is La Mama Orhideea. Soon, all units in the network will accept payments through SEQR.
“Signing the contract with La Mama and Cafepedia, two of the most important restaurant and coffeehouse chains in Bucharest, confirms the attractiveness of SEQR’s services for HoReCa representatives”, says Oana Nanulescu, country manager Seamless Romania.
Customers that want to pay for their check by using SEQR must follow a few simple steps: scan the QR code provided by restaurant employees with their smartphone, confirm payment by inputting their PIN code and after the payment is processed, an electronic bill will be sent to their phones.
“We count ourselves among trail blazers in the HoReCa segment by adopting SEQR as a payment instrument. (…) I trust this will count as a pleasant surprise for our customers and it will wind up a preferred method of payment”, says Catalin Mahu, general director La Mama.
SEQR is free to download from AppStore, Google Play and soon it will be available on Windows Store. SEQR was launched in Romania in October 2013 through Garanti Bank, the first banking institution that provided its clients with the facility.
