KMG International is expected to invest by the end of 2015 some USD 18 million (EUR 16.4 million) in the Rompetrol network, according to energynomics.ro website. This is part of the company’s strategy of expanding its retail network in Romania by 11 new fuel stations. The company has also announced the opening of a new gas station in Bucharest, on 67 Soseaua Viilor.
“The opening of the new gas stations fits into KMG International Group’s strategy to extend its retail network on the local and regional market. KMG International has the ambition of constant development, being a competitive, sustainable and diversified company. The access to large natural resources from Kazakhstan, as well as extraction, transportation and refining activities through an integrated system ensures the quality of the products we deliver. On the local market, the main areas targeted for the retail network developments are northwest, southwest and northeast regions”, said Azamat Zhangulov, senior vice president of KMG International.
By mid-2015, exterior rebranding of 117 gas stations have been modernized and another 6 will be integrated into the new concept by the end of this year.
KMG International carries out its retail activities in over 1,100 fuel distribution points and operates in Romania, Georgia, Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine, France and Spain. In Romania the company operates over 750 fuel distribution points (own filling stations, partner stations, Rompetrol Express, internal bases of 9 and 20 cubic meters), 230 LPG stations, 9,000 cylinders distribution points and 3 LPG filling stations in Constanta, Arad and Bacau.
