Online booking site Szallas.hu has entered the local online booking market by launching HotelGuru.ro. Szallas.hu is leader on this segment in Hungary, according to the company.
HotelGuru.ro features offers from about 1,700 Romanian hotels and guesthouses out of 13,000 such units in the region. The offers available on the site are worth approximately EUR 1 million. One of the site’s features is that the clients don’t have to make an online payment for the booking but can pay when checking in.
Szallas.hu is owned by two private investors and the Sanoma Media Budapest Zrt group. Last year it registered bookings worth a total of EUR 25 million, according to the company.
