Garanti Bank Romania names new deputy general director

Garanti Bank Romania, owned by Turkey’s Turkiye Garanti Bankasi, appointed Cagri Memisoglu as deputy general director in charge with the Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking, HR, and Process Organization and Management Division.

Memisoglu started working for Turkiye Garanti Bankasi in 1996 and was named senior VP of the lender in 2007. From this position, he had to oversee the activity of 1,000 subsidiaries and 24 regional centers, which generated yearly revenues of over EUR 300 million. He also contributed to the cash management strategy of the Turkish lender.

Ufuk Tandogan, CEO Garanti Group Romania, said: “Cagri Memisoglu has a vast experience in the business environment and in competitive banking processes so his addition will be extremely valuable for Garanti Bank Romania.”

Memisoglu is a Management graduate of the Middle East Technical University in Ankara.
