Focus Sat subscribers will no longer be able to watch, starting with today, five channels belonging to the Antena Group: Antena 1, Antena Stars, Euforia Lifestyle, GSP TV si Antena 3).

On Wednesday night after Antena Group announced it rejected the satellite distributor’s offer to retransmit its TV station. Focus Sat reacted Thursday morning by temporarily removing the five channels from it grid, blaming the group for their poor conditions and unacceptable costs.

Until the dispute will be settled, Focus Sat announced it will compensate the loss of the five channels by offering five new options in the “Basic Subscription” list:  Discovery Science, Discovery World, History Channel, National Geographic Wild si Bollywood TV.

“The decision to suspend the five channels comes as a result of Antena Group’s unacceptable conditions and prices which would have repercussions for Focus Sat’s clients”, according to the company’s press release.
“Focus Sat expresses its regret over the situation. Because customer experience is a priority is a priority for Focus Sat, starting with February 6, all Focus Sat clients with the basic “Family” subscription can enjoy the following Channels:Discovery Science, Discovery World, History Channel, National Geographic Wild si Bollywood TV. (…) We believe that Antena Group’s rejection and their way of approaching this situation is unacceptable, given that we are being asked to raise the subscriber cost four times. This increase in charging would have a negative impact on our clients, and accepting such a price hike in the clients name was not a reasonable option for us”, says Catalin itu, Country Director Focus Sat Romania
