The European commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development Phil Hogan (photo) pays an official visit to Romania on Thursday and Friday, according to Agerpres.
He will be meeting PM Victor Ponta, Agriculture minister Daniel Constantin and the joint Committees for Agriculture of the Romanian Senate and Chamber of Deputies.
Hogan will visit on Thursday two projects financed from European funds, alongside the European commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Cretu and Agriculture minister Daniel Constantin. The two projects are the Suinprod Radic pig farm in Ratesti village (Arges County) and a mixed fodder plant.
Hogan will also participate at the conference “Fighting poverty and social exclusion in the rural areas of Romania. The contribution of the 2014-2020 National Programme for Rural Development”, an event organized by the European Commission Representation in Romania.
