EUROPAfest – jazz | blues | pop | classic opens its gates on May 14 at 7 pm with a double Opening Concert – Bucharest and Sibiu. Two categories of audience, one in love with blues and jazz, the other one with classical music, are invited to enjoy the concert.
Thus, starting with 19:00, the stage from Excelsior Theatre in Bucharest will be revived by two bands, characterized by originality and artistic expressivity: Turn On from Finland and Hot Club de Bucharest from Romania, reads a press release.
On the other hand, in the heart of the country, the public of Sibiu will enjoy at EUROPAfest – Opening Concert the performance of the Japanese pianist Momoka Masuda, laureate of Jeunesses International Music Competition Dinu Lipatti, who will perform at Thalia Hall with the Sibiu Philharmonic Orchestra under the wand of the conductor Francois Robert Girolami from France.
Over May 14-23, the public in Bucharest and Sibiu is invited to the live performances of the special guests arrived from 45 countries, during Bucharest International Jazz Competition, Jeunesses International Music Competition Dinu Lipatti, Caffe Festival Ibis, Workshops and Master-classes, Jam Sessions. The event ends on the 23 of May with EUROPAfest Gala at the Odeon Theatre.
