Already at its fifth edition, one of the biggest eSports events – the DreamHack Bucharest 2015 festival – will transform the Romanian Capital into the electronic sports center of the universe for three days (April 24 to 26), at the Polyvalent Hall.
The festival will include four international tournaments and five electronic sports national competitions, where over 400 Romanian and foreign gamers are to perform.
Thus, electronic sports fans will have the opportunity to meet international and national celebrities, but also to demonstrate their skills in the competitions organized within the event.
According to the organizers, as quoted by Mediafax, the prizes for the 400 Romanian and foreign gamers will be rewarding, amounting over EUR 250,000.
DreamHack Bucharest is organized by Computergames.ro through its e-sports-PGL brand.
DreamHack holds the Guinness world record at world’s biggest digital festival category.
A concept created by the Swedish, the festival has expanded fast in many countries in Europe, Romania included.
The first DreamHack Bucharest took place in October 2012. The inaugural edition was attended by 5,000 participants, and the value of the prizes was EUR 31,000.
