With innovation as main theme HP Global Business Center (HP GBC) celebrated its 10 year anniversary this year, according to a company announcement.
With this occasion it was announced that Ecaterina Ion will take on the role of centre leader for HP GBC Romania. She is assuming this role, on top of her current role of HR country manager for Romania and East South Europe cluster, directing and further developing the Global Business Centre in Bucharest. Her key objective will be to lead the centre initiatives and site-wide strategies related to employees, cross-centre and cross-business programs.
Ecaterina Ion joined HP in January 2008, bringing rich managerial experience of more than 17 years in HR. She is a graduate in Psychology and Anthropology from University of Western Ontario and a holder of MBA degree from the Athabasca University in Canada.
HP GBC is the business services centre of HP located in Romania. It opened in 2005 and has over 3,500 employees.
It offers remote processing services to HP customers and partners in Europe, Middle East and Africa for a wide range of financial, logistics, and administrative business processes. Its workforce with multilingual capability brings value added services in more than 25 language.
