The pilot project for the Cybersecurity Innovation Center will be launched on Wednesday, May 13, in Bucharest, on the special occasion of the Regional Cyber Security Summit, as announced by Sorin Grindeanu, Romanian minister for Information Society.
American company General Dynamics was commissioned to make a feasibility study for setting up the center.
The goal of the study was to identify the most suitable architecture for an innovation center in cybernetic security in Romania, taking into account all the actors interested in setting up the center, from public institutions to private entities.
The project was to be financed entirely by the American partners, with USD 400,000 being offered by General Dynamics Fydelis and USD 400,000 by the USTDA.
At that time, Razvan Cotovelea, former minister for Information Society, said Romania was elected from several other countries and that the center will have high regional importance.
