CNADNR estimates 93 NEW Km of highway in 2014 and 195 Km in 2015

Romania’s road authority CNADNR said it wants to build 93.1 kilometers of highway in 2014, based on a budget of 2.65 billion lei (EUR 0.58 billion), lower by RON 1.1 billion than in 2013.

In 2013, CNADNR benefited from a budget of RON 3.76 billion and inaugurated 116 kilometers of highway:

Simeria – Orastie – 18 km;

Orastie –  Sibiu – 60.5 km;

Lugoj – Deva – 27.4 km.

The total highway network right now sums up 650 kilometers.

For 2014, the Road Authority is planning on opening up lots 1 and 2 of the Nadlac – Arad highway (22.2 km, 16.6 km respectively), lot 2 of Timisoara – Lugoj (25.6 km), lot 3 of Orastie – Sibiu (22.1 km) and a 6.5 km segment for Bucuresti – Ploiesti.

For next year, CNADNR is expecting to deliver lots 2, 3 and 4 of Lugoj – Deva (28.6 km, 21.1 km and 22.1 km), the four remaining lots of Sebes – Turda (70 km) and lots 1,2 and 3 from Campia Turzii – Ogra – Targu Mures (totaling 53 km).

2014 projects in order of financing:

Timisoara – Lugoj (RON 251,7 million);

Brasov – Cluj – Bors (RON 256,5 million);

Orăstie – sibiu (RON 285,6 million);

Sebes – Turda (RON 290,8 million);

Lugoj – Deva (RON 333,7 million);

Nadlac – Arad (RON 359,9 million);

Bucuresti – Brasov (RON 429 million lei).

2015 projects in order of financing:

Nădlac – Arad (RON 240,3 million);

Orăstie – Sibiu (RON 281,9 million lei);

Bucuresti – Brasov (RON 330,9 million lei);

Brasov – Cluj – Bors (RON 379,9 million lei);

Timisoara – Lugoj (RON 477,2 million lei);

Sebes – Turda (RON 878,9 million lei);.

Lugoj – Deva (RON 951 million lei)
