CMS Romania appoints Roxana Popel as head of tax

Roxana Popel has joined CMS Romania as head of its recently created tax department.

“This is a strategic decision and it enables us to meet a growing demand from our clients for specialized tax services,” said Gabriel Sidere, managing partner at CMS Romania.

Popel  holds a considerable professional background in tax and fiscal advisory and has previously worked for PwC for the past 15 years. Her last position there was tax director.

Popel specializes in several areas including corporate tax, cross-border tax structuring, tax auditing and due diligence. Over the years she has advised clients from several industries with a focus on consumer goods and retail, agriculture, manufacturing and utilities.
