American outsourcing firm CGS announced the opening of a new support center in Romania in Targu-Jiu. This is the fourth such venue in the country after the three located in Bucharest, Brasov and Sibiu.

”We chose a different region because we wished to diversify the labor market wherefrom we recruit our employees, and at the same time, to support an area in which the private sector is more poorly developed compared to others. We are looking for people who meet the standards of a multinational, whose employees relate daily with consumers from Romania, Germany, Great Britain, Spain and other EU countries such as the United States and Canada. The testing of the candidates is a complex process because we need employees to know the foreign language they are leading their activity in very well, and furthermore, depending on each job, one should posess the technical skills and knowledge or various aptitudes,” said Vladimir Sterescu, country manager CGS Romania.

For its new support center in Targu-Jiu, CGS has rented a space in a historic building located in the city center. At first, CGS will employ approximately 100 people in its Targu Jiu support center. There are currently open positions in the HR, the administrative, IT and tech support departments.

”We have strict selection criteria but our analysis shows that in Targu-Jiu there is a well prepared labor force for the positions we are advertising. If the labor market in Targu Jiu answers positively to our recruitment needs, the number of employees in the support center will grow,” said Sterescu.

CGS is providing to companies outsourcing solutions such as customer care, tehnical support, help desk, telesales, as well as other business outsourced services in 18 foreign languages.

Since the start of this year, CGS has advertised over 350 positions, of which over 150 in Sibiu, approximately 100 in Brasov, and now approximately 100 in Targu-Jiu.
