Carlos Luque Larena appointed IT&C director for Enel Romania

Enel Romania has appointed Carlos Luque Larena to manage all national IT activities as IT&C director.

 

Larena joined Enel in 2006, as part of the Infrastructure projects department and has over 16 years of experience in the field.

Among his priorities are the implementation of a new strategy for cloud infrastructure services based on the Hybrid Datacenter model, and adopting the most effective solutions on the market for a homogenous IT landscape of local structures working within global.

Carlos Luque Laren graduated from Technical Engineering in Computer Science, at the Oberta de Catalunya University in Barcelona.

The IT&C director position for Enel Romania was previously held by Dan Crisfalusi, who took over other responsibilities within the Enel Group.

The Enel Group is a multinational energy company and a player in the electricity and natural gas industry globally, focusing mainly on Europe and Latin America. The group operates in over 30 countries on four continents, generating electricity from over 96 GW of net installed capacity and distributing electricity and gas through a network that covers approximately 1.9 million kilometers.

Present in Romania since 2005, the company has over 3,100 employees and provides services to about 2.7 million customers in three areas of the country: Muntenia Sud (including Bucharest), Banat and Dobrogea.
