The first budget amendment of the year will be performed on July 30, after which the Government will enter a two-week holiday so that members of the Cabinet can go away on vacation for a couple of days, according to official sources quoted by Mediafax.
Prime-minister Victor Ponta recently transmitted that Liviu Voinea will remain at the Government as a delegate minister for the Budget at least until July, to prepare the amendment. Voinea will then move on as deputy governor of the National Bank.
Ponta asked the Health minister to insist on his institution getting more money after the amendment.
Romania’s consolidated budget deficit narrowed to 0.24 percent of gross domestic product at the end of May against a 0.28 percent shortfall in the first four months, finance ministry data showed at the end of last month.
