Lipscani Street will transform into BT Street for six weekends, between August 30 and 12 October. the BT Street Festival will take place behind the BNR headquarters and will include dance shows, charades, improvisation with the Obligo troupe, concerts, parades, theater plays and exhibits.
The festival has a humanitarian component: collecting toys for children living in poverty. Participants are encouraged to donate a toy that will be collected by the festival’s volunteers and then donated with the help of Romanian Angel Appeal Foundation and Daruieste Viata.
In the first weekend of the festival, August 30-31, toys will be collected between 10.30 and 13.00.
An interesting aspect of the festival is the fact that participants will be able to activate different activities by charging their BT Star Card, distributed through volunteers. Access to the shows and spectacles will be made with this symbolic card.
Also featured this weekend will be a Disney Parade, starting with 10:30. Anna and Elsa, from Frozen, will be present to turn children into princes and princesses. In the evening, the Street Improvisation Festival will start at 18.30, followed by a Tivodar concert.
