Book illustration exhibition opens at Cervantes Institute in Bucharest

The Bucharest Cervantes Institute and the Miguel Delibes foundation are opening the ‘Common land. Illustrated Delibes’ exhibition, showcasing book illustrations by 16 of the most important contemporary Spanish illustrators.

The exhibition’s starting point is the literature of Miguel Delibes, one of the most important 20th century Spanish writers. It follows the author’s universe through the eyes and voices of children-character and tackles themes such as rooting, the love for nature, death, war, love and friendship. The texts have been selected from ten of Delibes’ works written between 1947 and 1989 and showcase 15 children of various ages, upbringing and characters.

The opening of the exhibition takes place November 6, starting 18.30 at the Cervantes Institute in Bucharest. The exhibition runs until January 20 2014.
