Constanta-based port operator Chimpex, owned by fertilizer and cereals trader Ameropa, has received a EUR 27 million loan from BCR.

The company said the loan contract will run for 10 years and will be used to cover the construction costs for a new cereals silo.

The new silo will have a processing capacity of over 3.5 million tons of cereals and will have multiple loading options, even for Panamax vessels.

Law firm NNDLP worked for BCR on the deal, while Chimpex got Popovici Nitu Stoica & Asociatii.

Ameropa trades anually over 10 million tons of cereals and another 10 million tons worth of fertilizers.
