What are the measures you took for your business during this period?

Since the first case of COVID-19 infection in Romania, we have activated an internal crisis team responsible for implementing and monitoring the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and a series of additional measures for the protection and prevention against COVID-19, in order to guarantee the continuity of all the processes within the Cris-Tim Group.

Part of the measures are: daily monitoring of the temperature of the operative personnel with 830 T1 infrared thermometers, installation of alcohol-based disinfectants in all locations of the Cris-Tim Group, reorganized work schedule of the employees whose presence is indispensable and assured means of transportation under strict hygienic conditions, proper job distance of at least 1 meter in the production line, storage and administrative spaces, all production and operation personnel is equipped with appropriate individual protection devices (work equipment, disposable aprons, protective footwear, gloves, masks), ozone treatment of the air (in all workspaces, annexes, changing rooms, etc), increased frequency of post-operative disinfection, strict control on the venue for the raw material suppliers and limited access, company’s delivery drivers are working with masks and gloves and deliver the products under strict hygienic conditions .

What’s your advice for business leaders regarding this crisis?

The main advice I could give to the others is to take care of their people so their people can take care of their whole business. It is a crucial moment when more than ever, everything should work as a clock, and all resources and actions to be orientated to stabilize and ensure the continuity of the processes. In the meantime, leaders must show understanding and collaboration with all their business partners, many of which are going through a rough period. Understanding means realizing their needs and supporting them especially with commercial terms, as well as realizing the fact that the whole supply chain ecosystem, as well as the final client have to be supported in order to generate a fast revival capacity post-crisis. You cannot always win – a huge strength of character is knowing how to also lose sometimes.

What’s the most positive business news you’ve read today and want to share?

In these critical period of time, when all of us are affected I’m grateful to read about the companies that find in their resources to step in and come in the help of people in need trough different NGOs. This is a ray hope and a reassurance that we are all contributing with everything that we can in order to surpass this with minimum loss.  Solidarity and compassion are two key behavioral terms that all of us must show, as all of us, from simple human beings, to companies and other institutions rely on one another in all our daily lives, and only together can we continue creating prosperity in our nation.
