What are the measures you took for your business during this period?

I’d say that from our perspective, we were expecting for an economic crisis to happen since last year. All the signs were pointing in this direction, but I can definitely say that nobody had an idea about the magnitude of the economic impact. We starting restructuring costs since October –November 2019, and this year we increased our efforts and we started driving the cash towards the vital organs of the company.

What’s your advice for business leaders regarding this crisis?

Define worst/best case scenarios, make sure your company structure stays safe no matter which scenario you are going to end up with, while preparing the strategy for when things will start moving in the positive direction. During crisis, best thing is to preserve cash as we don’t know yet for how long and how deep will be the impact of this recession.

What’s the most positive business news you’ve read today and want to share? 

A lesson that we all learned is that business is about the people, and during moments like these people have a tendency of working together to overcome challenges. I see customers, partners all over the world, engaging now more than ever – people that I haven’t talked with in months, now I have almost weekly calls. We’re keeping close and this for sure will strengthen all bonds for when this crisis will be over.
