The total number of pensioners in Romania reached 4.68 million in November 2018

A total of 4,688,813 pensioners were registered in Romania in late November 2018 – 2,504 more than in the previous month, and the average pension was RON 1,180, according to data centralized by the National House of Public Pensions (CNPP).

The number of those retiring at the age limit was 3,561,578, of which 1,978,465 were women, and the average pension was RON 1,340.

20,742 persons received early retirement in November 2018 (RON 1,417, average pension), 87,244 had partial early retirement (RON 1,018 average pension) and 529,378 persons had disability pensions (average pension of RON 646), of which 47,661 persons had first degree disability pensions (RON 516 on average pension).

In the same month, the survivor’s pension was granted to 489,563 persons (RON 615 average pension), while 308 pensioners received social assistance (RON 290 on average).
