Safetech Innovations, one of the players on the Romanian information security market, ended the first half of the year with RON 4 million in revenues, an increase of 10 percent compared to the same period of 2017. For 2018, the company targets estimated RON 9,5 million in revenues and a profit of RON 1,1 million – double compared to 2017.

Established in 2011, Safetech Innovations is currently the only dedicated information security company on the Romanian market, specialized in the field of cybersecurity and implementation of cybersecurity solutions. Safetech Innovations’ services include data protection, identification of vulnerabilities and risks, response to cybersecurity incidents and creating an organizational culture oriented towards safety, as well as implementation of cybersecurity solutions and measures. The company offers a ‘cybersecurity one stop shop’, able to assist organizations in increasing their cyber resilience and solving any cybersecurity problems that could arise.

“Since our establishment in 2011, we have registered a steady evolution of our revenues. Our business model has evolved throughout the years, moving away from simple delivery of security audits and penetration testing to a company that can provide solutions addressing the full range of information security issues that an organization might be concerned about. This year, thanks to the implementation of GDPR regulation, we have witnessed increased awareness coming from Romanian companies when it comes to the importance of cybersecurity. In order to better address the needs of businesses in the light of new cybersecurity regulations, our R&D team is now focused on developing proprietary products that will meet the needs of modern businesses at times of constantly arising cybersecurity and data protection threats,” said Victor Gansac, CEO at Safetech Innovations.

The company plans to launch its first proprietary product for information security at the beginning of 2019. In order to further fuel the growth in the coming years, Safetech will increase its exports on international markets. In 2017, 10 percent of Safetech’s revenues come from international projects. The company intends to increase this number to 25 percent in the coming years, decreasing its dependency from the Romanian market.

The company has a large portfolio of clients, having worked with more than 10 key institutions from the financial sector, international players such as ArcelorMittal as well as local companies from the energy, FMCG, telecom, IT&C and transportation sectors, just to mention a few. Safetech also operates its own Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) in Romania, available to clients from both public and private sectors that offers continuous monitoring of cybersecurity threats and intervention in case of security incidents. STI CERT is accredited at the European level by Trusted Introducer and offers 24/7 monitoring system, alerting, incident management and forensic investigations.
