The U.S. Commercial Service of the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest, in partnership with Founder Institute Bucharest, is looking for tech startups to facilitate their participation at the 2019 edition of CES – the global stage for innovation.

CES is the world’s largest annual trade show for the consumer technology industry, from 3D printing, fitness and gaming, smart homes to wireless and wireless devices and much more. It is the premier tech event bringing together consumer technology product manufacturers, distributors, researchers, content developers, financial and industry analysts, and press; with the highest concentration of buyers and decision-makers in the retail distribution channel.

CES 2018 was a record-breaking year with 180K+ attendees, including 55K+ from 150 countries outside the United States and 3,900 exhibiting companies gathered among 2.5 million net square feet of exhibit space. That’s why CES is the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technology and where business gets done.

Benefits for Romanian startups

Startups will receive free registration, Exhibits Plus Pass, access to all sessions, an invitation to the International Matchmaking Reception, exhibitors’ list, business-to-business matchmaking with pre-screened US suppliers, access to Personal Show Plan, access to International Business Centers – computer stations, light refreshments, private meeting rooms.

The Romanian delegation’s participation is supported by Romania’s government through the Ministry of the Business Environment, Trade and Entrepreneurship. Half of the costs for travel and accommodation will be covered, as well as all costs related to promotion.
