Taco Bell will open its first unit in the west of the country in the class A office building United Business Center 1, part of the Openville Timisoara mixed project. The restaurant will be located on the ground floor of the building and will have an area of approximately 210 sqm.

Openville, which also integrates Iulius Mall Timisoara and still has parts in construction, will also bring other new retail concepts to the regional market, as well as new leisure destinations.

The Taco Bell brand was established in 1962 in California, USA, and is recognized for its Mexican cuisine including tacos, burritos, crunchwraps, nachos, churros and others. The Taco Bell international chain has over 7,000 restaurants, open in more than 135 countries, which annually serve more than 2 billion customers. The brand entered the Romanian market in 2017 and has three restaurants in Bucharest.

Under construction, Openville Timisoara will be the largest mixed-type project in the west of the country and the main attraction of business, shopping and loisir. The ensemble will complete Iulius Mall’s retail offer with an additional area of 47,000 sqm, reaching 118,000 sqm of leases.

The spaces will be arranged in an extension of the mall, on the ground floor of the office buildings and in the future area park as a whole. They emphasize leisure destinations by creating a synergy between the attractions inside the Iulius Mall and the outdoors. Openville will include seven Class A office buildings, 450 stores, a VIP cinema concept, two conference and event centers with 10 halls, as well as a variety of themed restaurants and cafes, and a panoramic view to the largest suspended park in the country, created from scratch.

After the two office buildings (UBC 1 and UBC 2) were completed in 2017, the mixed assembly works at two other office buildings (UBC 3 and UBC 0), new retail spaces, underground parking with more than 580 seats and a car tunnel that will streamline traffic across the area. The project is being carried out by Iulius and Atterbury Europe, representing an investment estimated at over EUR 220 million.
