Greek retailer Jumbo will open its 13th store in Romania in Braila this April, with a 12,000 sqm surface.
Jumbo estimates that it will open about 25 stores on the local market by 2022.
The toy retailer had a 30 percent growth in sales in Romania between July and December 2018, when it also opened two new stores in Voluntari and Bacau.
At group level, Jumbo’s sales increased by 7.6 in the second half of 2018, up to EUR 476.7 million, having recorded growth on all markets.
Currently, Jumbo has a 77-store network, of which 51 in Greece, 13 in Romania, 9 in Bulgaria and 5 in Cyprus, as well as an online store.
