Swedish fashion retailer H&M will open its 15th store in Romania this Thursday in Iasi. The store covers 1,677 sqm and is located on the grounds of the Palas Iasi shopping mall which will be inaugurated the same day.
The project is developed by Iulius Group which is owned by local businessman Iulian Dascalu who also owns shopping malls in Timisoara, Suceava, Cluj and Iasi under the Iulius Mall brand. Palas Iasi is part of a larger real estate project which required an investment of some EUR 260 million.
At present H&M runs 14 stores in Romania, six of which are in Bucharest. The first local H&M store was opened last year in March in AFI Palace Cotroceni.
