Regina Maria completes acquisition of Première Hospital in Timisoara

Regina Maria Health Network its strengthening its presence on the market of private medical services in Timisoara after the finalizing of the Premiere Hospital acquisition. The transaction was approved by the Competition Council and allows Regina Maria to aim for the leading position of the medical services in the region.

In the first part of 2019, Regina Maria entered the imaging market in Timis county, by taking over the radioimagistic centers of Dr. Birsasteanu and Telescan, that counts 4 specialized units.

“After four years from the opening the first Regina Maria medical unit in Timișoara, we are delighted to expand our high quality medical services with the Première Hospital team. We now offer subscribers complex medical services. Moreover, we are committed to further develop the health services offered in this part of the country,” said Fady Chreih, CEO of Regina Maria Health Network.

Première Hospital medical team is made up of nationally and internationally physicians or collaborators, specialized in obstetrics-gynecology, orthopedics, general surgery, neurosurgery, gynecological surgery, maternal-fetal medicine and other special medical components.

“From the beginning we wanted to provide to the patients in Timisoara a place in which they feel that they are receiving the care and attention they deserve and at the same time, high quality medical services. The fact that this is a common wish of us and Regina Maria, makes me believe that we can make this partnership a successful one,” said Prof. Univ. Dr. Radu Prejbeanu, primary orthopedics-traumatologist and medical director of Première Hospital.

Première hospital has an integrated ambulatory, a medical laboratory itself and a high-performance imaging center, equipped with MRI and CT. The hospital has an area of ​​5,300 square meters, a capacity of 134 beds and has 6 operating rooms and a block of births. Over 2,500 surgeries and 1,400 births occur here every year. The company has about 300 employees and collaborators, and at the end of 2018 there is a turnover of EUR 7 million.

Regina Maria has, at the moment, a portfolio of over 40,000 people in Timisoara, which can access 13 own locations: 1 hospital, 5 imaging center, 4 polyclinics, 1 medical clinic, 2 medical analysis laboratories. A team of 550 employees and collaborators ensures its support after a rapid expansion in the western area of ​​the country and the provision of best quality tea to the inhabitants of Timisoara and neighboring cities.

Currently, the Regina Maria Health Network submits a threshold of 30 purchases with 100 percent takeover for business. The vision of the medical services operator is excellent in medicine and in the complex services provided throughout the country.
