PwC Romania welcomes Luca Martini and Daniel Anghel to its leadership team

Starting July 1 2018, Luca Martini will become the new Advisory Leader of PwC in Romania and South East Europe. He will replace Edward Macnamara, who has been leading the team for the past two years and will now focus on global business recovery services project on a global level within PwC.

Martini is a veteran of strategic consulting, with over 25 years of experience, across a wide range of countries. He worked in Europe, Latin America and Asia. Recently, he led a major management-consulting firm in Australia and New Zealand. Luca has advised clients in various industries, focusing mostly on the financial services, media and retail industries.

“Luca Martini will be instrumental in achieving our strategic objective of becoming distinctive leaders of the Romanian professional services market. His extensive experience in leading teams in complex advisory projects and various markets will strengthen our management consulting capabilities and will help us bring new perspectives and innovative solutions to our clients,” said Ionut Simion, Country Manager Partner, PwC Romania.

Also, as of July 1, Daniel Anghel will be appointed head of the Tax and Legal Services practice for Romania.

Daniel Anghel joined PwC in 1997 and has been leading the PwC Central and Eastern Europe Indirect Tax Group for the last five years. He is an expert in VAT, customs and international trade. As recognition for his work in the area of indirect taxes, he has been recently nominated to be a member of the PwC Global Indirect Tax Board, leading indirect tax policy matters around the globe.

Daniel Anghel has a Degree in Economics from the Academy of Economic Studies, Bucharest and a Professional Certificate in Management from the Open University through the London Business School. He is also a licensed consultant of the Chamber of Tax Consultants.

A former president of the Coalition for the Development of Romania (Coaliția pentru Dezvoltarea Romaniei), Daniel is also a board member of the Foreign Investors Council, leading the taxation committee. During the last eight years, Daniel has been regularly involved in the dialogue between the business community and the Romanian authorities on tax and regulatory initiatives.
